“For Helvede!. I see you once in a lobster season, you just turn up. Then you want to disappear again!”
Hyle felt angry and the same time upset. She could not decide which emotion to show Reavy so she settled for a pout in the hope that would work.
“Just take one day off, hmm? it’s Sunday and I am sure this shite world we inhabit can survive without you for one day. Especially since Russko Røvhulovich has decided to piss off and leave us alone at last”
Hyle still fought to keep the anger from her eyes for fear of driving Reavy away.
Reavy, for her part sighed and nodded a reluctant ‘yes’. She was knackered when she had arrived the previous night, she felt knackered now. Hyle smiled and hugged her tightly
Hyle watched her sleep. Hyle felt better, far better. The morning hangover had faded. Reavy had relaxed and was open to persuasion… a little. Ok so a bikini may have been asking too much but at least she had got Reavy into shorts and a crop-top.
Hyle glanced at the rifle within armreach. That made her smile too. How did they ever hit it off, Reavy and herself? How could two people be so different and end up lovers?
Hyle laughed softly and murmered to herself,“Still, she’s sunbathing… now… how can I persuade her into the sauna when Sharky and VV call this evening...”
